About Tamar

Portrait of Israeli artist Tamar Green in her studio, standing in front of a large oil painting of a white house under a pink sky from the Home series.

Hi, I’m Tamar Green.

I’m a photographer, painter, and someone who sees things a little differently.

I’m drawn to moments easily missed
the beautiful fall of light on a wall, a small movement of a flower,
a breeze that lifts hair for a fleeting second.

What moves me is capturing something before it disappears.
Turning emotion into an image.
Thought into a splash of color.
Light into a story.

My photography and painting are connected.
Both begin with observation.
And what I love most is to observe the world.

I’ve been creating for years
for my own projects, for the businesses I work with,
and mostly because I have no other way to be.

The lens and the brush are two tools in my language.
My photography and painting are always in conversation.
And I simply follow what captures my heart.

If you’ve read this far, maybe you have a sensitive eye too.
Welcome to my world.
